Minimalist

This style is based on a single idea – a minimum of unnecessary things. This does not mean that the site should look empty and lifeless! On the contrary, when planning the location of flower beds, you should adhere to the correct geometric shapes and right angles. Also, if the plot is large, you can divide it into zones, each of which can be arranged depending on its purpose. There should not be many decorative elements; it is better to select them within the same texture or color.

As for greenery, you should give preference to plants with interesting shades or leaf textures. It is better to place them in a clear order, without asymmetry. A classic version of minimalism is a green garden – a flat lawn, rows of thujas near the fence and several flower beds placed at the same angle to each other.

• Open. One or more walls are missing. It can be used for relaxation in the warm season, so it is better to select appropriate furniture. To avoid bringing flowers into the house every fall, it is worth placing plants that can withstand frost. And if you are ready to change the appearance of your cozy corner every season, give preference to small tubs with plants, hanging pots, for example, with petunias or chrysanthemums.
• Closed. Instead of opaque walls there is a glass partition. Its size can be different: up to the middle of the wall or to the floor. The latter option is especially good because it will allow you to enjoy the view of your yard in comfort in cold weather. Give preference to climbing plants on the outside and cozy small flowerpots on the inside.

You don’t have to build the entire design from the entrance to the terrace. But at the same time, with proper planning, you can make a highlight out of it.

You can play with the idea of cacti, and if you don’t like thorns, sow desert herbs. And instead of a perfect green lawn, which is very difficult to achieve, use artificial turf.

The second component of this landscaping idea is the use of native plant species. Choose species that do well in your region. Then you won’t have to worry about the climate.

Geoplastics

An option for those who love unusual designs. The main feature of this idea is changing the topography of the site using decorative elements. Many hills, height changes, small waterfalls and a cluster of artificial stones are just a small part of the possible decor.

This design option will be a real salvation for those whose plot is located on a slope. Such a solution will look harmonious and elegant.

• Creation of a decorative vegetable garden. Nobody talks about planting potatoes in their yard. But small decorative beds with herbs or salad will look quite appropriate.
  Orchard. Planting fruit trees instead of leaf or coniferous trees is not only beautiful, but also profitable. You will have your own apples, peaches or plums. In addition, ornamental trees are smaller in size and fit better with a variety of styles.
• Unusual plants. Hedges trimmed in unusual shapes, bushes grown with unusual curves and similar sculptures. They do not require any special costs to create – just time.
